On Tuesday, August 5, as part of FGC's outreach classes, a special summer event titled "Kesete and Curry" was held at SEISA Kokusai High School Yokohama Kamoi, with Kesete, a staff member from Eritrea, serving as the instructor.

The day's program combined two activities themed around Kesete's home country of Eritrea: "Eritrean-style Curry Cooking" and a "Sprint Class." In the morning, students participated in the "Sprint Class," designed to get them moving energetically. Due to extreme heat exceeding 35°C, the session was moved from outdoors to indoors, where students engaged in Eritrean-style exercises and strength training. They actively participated and enjoyed two hours of physical activity. In the afternoon, as a cross-cultural experience, students attempted to cook "Kesete Curry" in the Eritrean style. Working together, they prepared the curry and enjoyed tasting it, making it a valuable opportunity to experience a different culture.

Students were able to move their bodies from a fresh perspective and encounter a new food culture for the first time, gaining significant learning and inspiration through these experiences. FGC will continue to provide opportunities for children to encounter new cultures and values.
