An all-weather running track is now complete in the courtyard of the SEISA Shonan Oiso Campus. It is a compact facility with 5 lanes and 60 meters in length, but is suitable for long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault. Together with the 2.5 km cross-country course built last year, SEISA Shonan Oiso Campus is now able to provide a more comprehensive training environment.

On March 30, commemorating the inauguration of the former national stadium, the first running ceremony was held attended by many people involved in the project. At the ceremony, Mizuno Co., Ltd, who cooperated in the construction of the track, and Mr. Shingo Suetsugu, a specially-appointed associate professor of SEISA University, gave words of congratulation. Mr. Dejen from Eritrea, an athlete belonging to the track & field club of accommodation course of SEISA University, made the starting sign for the first run. Children from SEISA Shonan Oiso Sports Club ran together with Shingo Suetsugu and athletes from SEISA Kokusai High School Shonan. In this wonderful training environment, future Olympic athletes may be born. We would appreciate your continuous support so that the children can grow and the athletes can achieve better results.
