3 new international students from Eritrea, Merhawi, Daimon and Natnael arrived on March 7th. They will join the Track and Field club of SEISA Kokusai High School as sports scholarship students from April to study and train together with Japanese students and other international students.

International students are usually selected by Commission of Culture and Sports of Eritrea and  Amateur Athletic Federation of Eritrea. For this time, Kazu Sakata, a head coach of Track and Field club ofSEISA Kokusai High School visited Eritrea specially to select athletes through actual observation. "Those students don't have much experiences. However, they seem to acquire talent. We expect them to grow and improve in Japan." says Mr. Sakata.

FGC staff also visited to Eritrea to do interview with students, and conduct an examination to check their study ability. International students of Sports Scholarship will stay in Japan to train in Track and Field, as well as to study Japanese Language and culture. Our wish is that they become "ambassadors" to bridge between Eritrea and Japan while they study and live together with Japanese friends. We believe that their activities will bring dream and hope to young generation in Eritrea.
